Content Types describe what information is contained in an attached file. When determining the content type you can ask yourself "What is this file?". Is it a Bank Statement, Permit, Proof of Delivery, Customer Quote or something else? The content type must be specified whenever a file is attached to a FOURA record. Some content types are also used to identify specific files used by reports or business processes. For example, files of type Logo Graphic that are attached to a Company record can be selected as the logo to display in the header of reports from that company.
To help get you started, FOURA includes a collection of the most commonly used content types.
Tip: After setting up your content types, use the Document Type Setup form to list which content types can be used for each document type (PO, AP Invoice, Customer, etc.). Once the document types are setup then the Docs column on the Content Type form will show the number of document types that the content type can be used with.
