Menu Code: WHS Inventory -> Control |
A warehouse is a building or room organized with racks and bins for storing inventory. Warehouses are managed by a Warehouse Manager, who is responsible for Receiving shipments, organizing and storing the Inventory, maintaining the inventory levels (Stock Control), performing Cycle Counts, Picking items for orders and delivering picked items to customers. Warehouses are also used in the manufacturing process to store raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods.
You can setup multiple warehouses in Foura. Each warehouse will have its own Locations, Inventory and Stock Control settings. The warehouse specified on the Sales Order is the one that is responsible for fulfilling the order.
Foura is pre-configured with one Warehouse named WHSE. You can use this warehouse or define your own as needed.
